The Kendall Hotel at the Engine 7 Firehouse

This is by far the best boutique hotel in US

Nice room, great location

Pros: breakfast was lovely. simple but well supplied and prepared. Location is awesome if you want to be in Cambridge. Proximity to the train ideal. Cons: would have preferred if breakfast started before 7 am. I think that the "resort fee" was just an extra fee. There were not any resort amenities. They do have access to a gym, but we did not need that.

Pros: We liked how friendly we were welcomed, and helped with questions. The room and the decoration of the hotel were very nice. Our luggage could be kept during the day of departure as we only had a flight out later in the day. Cons: The food for breakfast was very good and we liked the inside and outside sitting area. The same area was used as restaurant in the evening. We did not try it as there was almost nobody in the restaurant any night, so not very inviting, but there are many restaurants nearby in all price classes.

Good spot for one night

Pros: Quirky, good location Cons: Dirty carpet, hard bed, lack of a bar
