Très bon pdj mais chambre très inconfortable sans climatisation et sans ascenseur
Pros: Emplacement calme Cons: Pas de climatisation et chambre mansardée sans ascenseur alors que l’hôtel est très loin d’être complet
Nice area of Hampshire and liked the Hotel room although the bathroom needs attention.
Pros: Breakfast was nice although no GF bread on 1st day and on 2nd day had to send someone to the shops to get it Cons: the shower in our bathroom was caked in black mold, not just in the corners but in the grouting between the tiles. Obviously this hasnt been cleaned previously and not addressed for sometime, if ever. Also the shower was very weak, probably due to limescale build up restricting water getting through the showerhead. (Room 4)
Great location for a few days exploring the New Forest
Pros: All the team were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The quality of the food at breakfast and dinner was excellent. Shower was good and the bedroom a fair size. Location quieter and for us preferable to the bigger busier villages in the New Forest. Cons: Pillows hard. Restaurant not open on Sunday, although the Hare & Hounds pub down the road came to our rescue. Quite a few dogs staying (not good if you don't like them) but the cleanliness was good so no issue with the room and the dogs were well behaved.
A quiet and peaceful retreat
Pros: It was very peaceful and quiet. The staff were super helpful, friendly and discreet. Our room was cosy and the location was ideal for visiting the sights of the New Forest, and especially getting to the coast easily. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the gardens are lovely. Cons: Nothing
It was a most enjoyable stay with friendly, professional staff and a relaxing atmosphere
Pros: Excellent breakfast and friendly staff Cons: It would have been good to have a shelf for toiletries near the basin in the bathroom
