A very pleasant stay
A very pleasant stay with kind staff. The room was comfortable and provided with a fan, which was much needed given the heatwave. Lovely to be able to spend time on the tables outside, and the pub itself is lovely.
Not as expected
Cons: To be honest, I don't quite understand the glowing reviews. The room—especially the bathroom—was not clean, and the adjacent road was very busy, even early in the morning, which is very bothersome when the windows are open. Breakfast was meager, and there was live music until midnight on Saturday; that’s great, of course, unless you have to leave early the next morning.
Ideal stay for what I needed.
Pros: Staff welcoming and helpful. Room compact and with different ceiling heights may not be suitable for a tall person. Even if a little tired in places the facilities were very clean. Had everything I needed. Useful information in a folder in the room. Value for money. Free onsite parking is a bonus, just have to key in registration number on the tablet. Cons: Not a fault of the venue but more down to the English weather, the room was very hot. I did have a fan in the room which helped.
