Pleasant
Pros: Very friendly staff Cons: Lots of steps - uneven, easy to trip
Charming and helpful
This is how to manage a hotel in an historic building. Lots of character and charm, but still excellent facilities, a top-notch restaurant and staff who go above and beyond to help guests to feel at home.
Pros: The location was convenient and parking facilities good
Pros: The location was convenient and parking facilities good. The staff were lovely and helpful. Cons: The room felt very dated, more like a university dorm than a hotel room. For the price, cracked walls, uncomfy pillows and basic amenities, felt disappointing. The window didn’t shut fully so I was exposed to all the general pub noise until late as my room sat over the entrance to the pub. It also let the smoke in from smokers taking their breaks, which I’ve always struggled with the smell of. So to not be able to get fresh air was frustrating. I just felt the room needs a bit of upkeep/mode
