Good value for a great place to stay

Pros: Comfortable bed, nice view, good location close to beaches , Monterey Aquarium, and a short drive to Carmel, great hospitality the owner gave us a choice of an upgraded balcony room that was available on the second floor for free, and the homemade breakfast and snacks were great. Cons: Very Victorian decor and an older building but I thought it was very charming. In my opinion not the stay where you really want or need a tv but if you are someone that needs a tv on to sleep you may not enjoy quite as much. It was a perfect place to stay for one night

Pros: Able to walk to restaurants in the area, parking so easy, breakfast great Cons: Everything was great

Old Charm- a rare find

Pros: Web search Cons: Amazingly charming old house with ocean view. It was a convent years ago. A unique experience. Short walk to the beach, aquarium, and restaurants. Freshly cooked hot breakfast and other spreads. An enjoyable short vacation!

Very disappointing

Pros: Location a few hundred meters from the ocean Cons: From the outside, this property still looks fairly good, but everything inside has not been renewed for decades. Dingy carpet, frayed towels, worn wall outlets, sagging mattress, worn furniture, etc. Breakfast is very limited, almost no choice, not really tasty. What is offered is totally disproportionate to what you pay for a room.

Worn out, not “charming and quaint”

Pros: Location Cons: The property is run down, worn out, and things are mismatched for the price. Place needs to be updated and breakfast upgraded for the price.
