I wish I had cancelled my reservation!
I wish I had cancelled my 3-night reservation! I too booked a plaza view suite. They put me in 101 a two-room suite adjoining my son's room 102. Both with a ground level view. Very dated and tight bedrooms, with long wait times for hot water in the shower and during the mornings you ran out of hot water. To make matters if the noise outside wasn't bad enough, the restaurant and lounge was RIGHT below you. The coffee maker made more coffee than the hotel provided mugs could hold..."fill to here". The entire hotel is dump! I moved my reservation to this hotel after the Marriot Residence Inn said

When it opened in 1928, the Raphael was a block of luxury apartments. In 1974, the J.C. Nichols Company purchased the Italian Renaissance Revival style structure, remodeled and re-opened the nine-story, 126-room as one of Kansas City's most sophisticated and luxurious hotels in 1975. Located at 325 Ward Parkway, across the street from Country Club Plaza, it was designed to complement the Spanish architecture that the adjacent shopping mall had developed in the early 1920s. The property is patterned after small European hotels, has been a member of the Histori Hotels of America since 2001 and w
