A disappointing room!

Pros: Most of the staff were lovely especially the waitress at breakfast. The ambiance in the pub and in the garden is very appealing. Cons: The check in on arrival was not very welcoming and we had the most appalling room right above the kitchen. The heat and noise from a fan / fridge in the kitchen was dreadful so not much sleep was had! We were telephoned late at night whilst in bed asking why we hadn’t arrived.

Great place just needs more cleanliness and a bit of attention to things that need fixing in the room.

Pros: Lovely old building, pub nice staff really friendly. Breakfast was excellent! Cons: Room was not the cleanest we have been in. Carpets stained, toilet was not fastened properly to the floor. Couldn’t open the window on a very hot night.

After we'd eaten the only possible choice ( fish and chips) we were told we could have had Sunday roast. But the worst thing was the noise at night from the kitchen extractor and air-conditioning. The former was like trying to sleep inside a jet engine and the latter switched itself loudly on and off all night. We were in the room called Dolly and it really should not be a letting room. It is not fit for purpose. The duty manager was sympat
