Very good location for visiting on foot!
The location was perfect for visiting. About 20 minutes walk to everything!
We would definitely recommend the hotel to friends & family!
Pros: The location was perfect for a family, within walking distance to many tourist sites & attractions and the subway, but not in the noisy hub. Lovely rooftop bar (adults only), the use of a fitness room, and the beds were comfortable. The staff at the front door were very helpful and friendly with the kids, happy to call a cab & give advice. Cons: No water provided in the room or at reception (you had to fill up bottles in the fitness center). They changed the towels too often despite us asking not to (not environmentally friendly), the sliding door of the bathroom did not provide any inti
Very disappointing. I will no longer stay there or recommend it.
Cons: I used to stay at the Shelburne regularly before COVID—it was my hotel of choice. Now it’s dark, dingy, and visibly rundown. I couldn't even close the drain in the tub to take a bath—it didn't work. It's a sad, down-at-the-heels property that used to be light, energetic, and fun.
Pros: Great welcoming staff
Pros: Great welcoming staff. Quiet room and comfortable bed with high quality sheets. Very clean. Two restaurants, one on bar/restaurant Village Green Rooftop with spectacular views -- reservations strongly suggested. Another and one with a nice menu on the first floor. Several blocks from Grand Central Station and Bryant Park, but in the quieter Murray Hill, which is one of our favorite neighborhoods in the city. Watched World Cup at the Junction Bar down the street. Returned as that was a good spot for futbal and cocktails. Walked to the Morgan Library on our last day, just 3 blocks away.Sta
