Lovely hotel in the heart of Edinburgh

Had a great overnight stay in a fantastic location in Edinburgh. After reading reviews we asked for a quiet, high floor room which didn’t disappoint. Beautifully appointed King room, albeit without any view, however all you need to do is step outside into George Street and see the sights as it’r right in the heart of New Town. A short and pleasant walk to shops, restaurants and the Playhouse. Where we were going. Staff couldn’t have been nicer, hotel is immaculate and we got to leave bags at check out and return to get them. The hotel’s Georgian Bar is a sight worth seeing in itself. H

Amazing staff and room but pricey.

Pros: Great room. Very spacious. Staff was freaking unbelievable. Could not be more helpful—every last one of them. They were just awesome. Cons: Very expensive, especially with the exchange rate currently.

Pros: Beautiful hotel with extraordinary interior and design. Great breakfast and really friendly staff. Cons: One of the nights it was really loud music, the rest of the nights we stayed were ordinary weekdays, so I am not sure of how it is on the weekends. But that night it was really loud and disturbing music and also late. We could have accepted it if it was earlier in the evening, but we had problems sleeping because of the loud music.

Impossible to sleep, music loud until 3AM

Do NOT accept rooms at first floor. At night, their ground floor turns into a disco with VERY loud music, thus 1st floor should be banned for guests accommodation.
