Timbrell's Yard

Pros: Lovely quality bedding. Friendly staff. Lovely products. Menu was limited but nice pizza, could make more vegetarian choices. Cons: I struggled to park at the hotel and had to park away from the hotel in the train station. Although we had a fan it was extremely hot and the window would only open a fraction. Lighting in room very dark.

For the price paid, staff attitude could have been better.

Pros: The location. Close to town and the river. Cons: Staff wasn’t very friendly and helpful. Tea cups that were served to me were dirty and had stains in the cups. When I asked for another because of the dirty teacups there were no apologies offered for the dirty teacups served.

Lovely, one night was not enough.

Pros: The room was unique with the bedroom and bathroom on a higher level. The room did require a little TLC, toilet had a leak, which looked like a temporary silicone fix had been applied and could do with a general paint refresh. The air con was an added bonus but as the top window was left open with no way to close it, I am not sure it was working to its full potential. Breakfast and Dinner were lovely with amazing staff, although I received an incorrect order at breakfast and the service at dinner was extremely slow. Mezzanine rooms on the river are fab and have aircon, a life saver when we stayed in the heatwave. Comfy beds super shower.

Beautiful room

Pros: Beautifully decorated room and bathroom. Very comfortable and made perfect with aircon! Loved the toiletries too. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Cons: Breakfast scrambled eggs overcooked. Otherwise all good.
