Affordable hotel with lots of character
Pros: We loved the huge rooms with so much heritage and character. Location was handy to everything. The Lab was excellent for breakfast. Comfy beds. Cons: TV wasn’t smart tv for connecting our streaming services.
Lux stay in the heart of the city
Pros: Loved having a big, spacious room that was serviced professionally every day. The quality furnishings and fittings add a feeling of old world luxury that modern hotels lack. The bed was huge and so comfortable. It was so quiet despite being smack in the middle of busy roads. There are block out blinds on the windows so the room can be darkened at any time. Great water pressure and fluffy white towels. A coffee pod machine and quality teas available in the room. Lovely, helpful staff and a concierge - so rare these days. Pros: The beds are probably the best i have ever enjoyed and i have slept in numerous 5 star hotels in many countries. Cons: Ive had around 150 - 160 night stays at the hotel and even they knew it was a mild stone birthday for me there was no gift, even a fruit plater or cheese board would have been nice. I have been loyal even in the quiet times and this was disappointing when i see shows and regular quests are recognized.
