Turnkey Accommodation-North Melbourne

Great place to stay before surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Nothing takes your mind off the next day like a spa and a swim. Concierge was excellent, very helpful.

Never book this accommodation.

Cons: This is not a regular accommodation venue as I was led to believe. It is actually an apartment complex. It is locked and you can not access this complex without a key. I didnt realise this when I booked the accommodation. I had spoken with the owner earlier that day to confirm my expected arrival time. I was told to ring him again when I arrived. When I arrived (on time at 2.00 pm) I rang and no answer. I had just driven down from NSW to Melbourne. I spent the next 45 minutes calling. No answer. I thought that I had been scammed. Disasterous

Pros: Nothing Cons: The staff left before I arrived and I couldn't get in to the accommodation and they basically said bad luck

Pros: The location and the view. It was easy to get to. Cons: Everything got wet in the bathroom when showering because of the steam. We had our 1 year old with us and found pills under the bed, lucky he didn't eat them

Makes a hospital appointment comfortable and convenient.

Pros: The location is second to none - literally across the road from the Peter Mac Hospital. A balcony with views across the city. Fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. Cons: Having to make a call and meet someone at the door to collect our keys was slightly inconvenient. I would prefer to be able to step up to a reception desk. The handles on the cupboard doors in the kitchen are a bit difficult to open for people with weak hands. But I know I’m being super picky here. The Turnkey Apartments are brilliant and I will definitely stay there again.
