Good but not quite four-star level

Pros: It was a comfortable stay overall. Quiet, nice-sized room with a comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, decent water pressure. Property has a functional if barebones gym, lovely (though shallow) swimming pool, big terrace overlooking the market. Good location near numerous trams and walkable within CBD and to UniMelb. Cons: Four starts seems a bit high given the level of service and amenities provided. The room had no desk, no trash can except a tiny one in the bathroom, and only one towel hook in the bathroom. We were also frustrated that they could not accommodate our early check in

Great inexpensive city hotel. Helpful staff. Room was pleasant clean and roomy enough. Pleasant lounge area for a coffee or glass of wine (and a happy hour). The location is terrific with Victoria markets over the street with all manner of casual eating options (the bratwurst shop is tops) and the Elizabeth St tram is a few steps away which runs right through the city. It is our 'goto' place when we we visit Melbourne.

Great location, great value for money, great rooms!!

Pros: Location, room size and layout. Clean. Just live the feel of this property. Cons: Parking in arrival was challenging. I had to back out from the car park entry and go around the block, to pick up a pass to enter car park. Would have been much easier if I could have been buzzed in when I called the front reception.
