Vila Gale Marina Resort Hotel

Not For Everyone

Stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel itself is dated but spotlessly clean. The outside area around the pool is well kept and pool towels are available at reception. We found the staff to be very friendly and the breakfast buffet was good. As mentioned by others, the clientele are predominantly groups of male golfers, there was one particular group who were extremely loud, blaring music and shouting to each other from their balconies. It was clear it was not just us who this bothered as almost all the couples at the pool left. The golfer in the room next to us also had a female escort visit him.

Well run spotless Hotel

Came for a week's stay in March on a bed and breakfast basis. Found the standard to be very clean and functional. There's no sense of luxury here, but you have everything you need. The style of the hotel is a little dated, but everything is well looked after and spotless. Staff are also very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a great position for access to the Marina and is peaceful. Breakfast is buffet style, but there is a great selection of food (which is all delicious and freshly made). Very poor experience

This hotel is extremely disappointing. Although it is well located, everything else is poor. Unfortunately the hotel is used for golfing holidays so it is filled predominantly with men. In our experience we have found them to be very loud, drunk at night and causing disturbances during the night and also poolside. We spoke to the reception staff who were not interested and were quite patronising. The hotel is dated and in need of refurbishment. We booked half board and the evening meal is a very limited menu. I cannot recommend this hotel.

CONSISTANTLY GOOD

Another February visit to this very decent hotel which has been our base for Golf in Vilamoura for a few years. Very comfortable rooms clean and what you would expect in a mid 4 star hotel. A very good breakfast that has not changed. Plenty going on in the resort (even in February) and the location is superb to take advantage of this. Well done Vile Gale and thank you.

Excellent Marina Location

This is our second visit and the location couldn’t be better, a few minutes walk from the marina and right in the centre of Vilamoura. Our room was on the 5th floor with a beautiful view over the marina and out to sea. We were B&B and the breakfast was lovely, not too busy and a plenty to choose from. The only negatives are that the hotel is definitely in need of improvement in the communal areas especially, it’s clean but very dated now, dreadful old carpets in the corridors. Staff are however very friendly and helpful. Didn’t use the pool as it was October but we did enjoy drinks and snacks
