Beautiful old country house with helpful owners and a nice pool
Pros: Beautiful old country house, very kind owners who helped us both evenings with booking nice restaurants (Tosello, delicious pizzas and Piccola Trattoria, also delicious food). Nice pool and delicious breakfast Cons: We didn't find Piacenza very nice, but there are enough other nice towns nearby to visit

Pros: Personal welcome and care by the owners, a very nice old couple. Breakfast was arranged according to our wishes in the large park under tall trees, tennis court and pool were great. The rooms are full of antiques and tastefully decorated, the bathrooms are brand new Cons: The villa is close to the highway, ideal for travelers passing through. However, the surroundings are a bit of an unattractive industrial area. It is only 11 minutes by car to Piacenza
