A good choice if you'll be traveling to various spots in the Kansai area: Wakayama, Osaka, Nara.
The guest house was perfect for us traveling as a group of friends, we used the tatami style and western style bedrooms on the first floor, which were spacious enough to fit four suitcases and the cozy dining/kitchen area was good for relaxing after a long day out sightseeing. There is only one bathroom and one shower space so it might be worth considering if your group is larger than 4 people. Hineno Station is within a comfortable walking distance and it was only slightly tiring if you're dragging suitcases on this route.
