great hotel
had a great stopover at the village hotel glasgow, located on the south side of the river in Govan, the area is pretty quiet, but a short walk from Rangers football club, Glasgow uni and the city centre. plenty of parking and fantastic facilities, pool gym, sports bar, everything you need. my room was comfortable great bed, i think the village hotels are priced pretty reasonable, its not extreme luxury but i would rate it much better than well known budget hotels, all areas of the hotel were clean, tea coffee in the room, plenty of bath towels. i have no complaints.

Disappointed I should have stayed at the Crowne Plaza
Pros: The location
Cons: The attitude of the female check in staff…..unfriendly, unsmiling….downright surly. Carpets in reception and in the hotel room were filthy. Small dRk room and bathroom.
