Hotels in Berwyn

Berwyn is a dense, working-class inner suburb just west of Chicago, best known for its Czech and Bohemian heritage and, more recently, a large Hispanic population that has kept its brick bungalow streets and old storefronts genuinely lived-in rather than gentrified. It has a certain cult status thanks to the giant fiberglass Spindle sculpture (car-on-a-stick) that used to sit here and the annual Houby Days mushroom festival, but be honest: there's little in the way of sights or nightlife to justify a stay for its own sake.

What it does offer is proximity — close to Midway Airport and a short drive or CTA/Metra ride into downtown Chicago and Willis Tower — plus noticeably cheaper rooms than the city center. With only nine hotels listed here, options are limited rather than boutique. Stay in Berwyn if you want a budget base near Midway with quick access into the Loop; otherwise, downtown Chicago hotels will get you closer to what you actually came to see.
