Compare prices from multiple booking suppliers and find the best hotel deal in Huddersfield.

Huddersfield made its money on wool, and the mills and warehouses that funded that trade still define the town, most famously in its railway station, a Grade I-listed Georgian frontage that George Orwell reportedly called the most beautiful in England. The University of Huddersfield brings a steady student population, and the town has a decent live-music and real-ale scene tucked into its Victorian arcades, but be honest: the centre can feel worn at the edges, and much of the surrounding borough is unremarkable commuter territory rather than a destination in its own right.

It's well placed for exploring West Yorkshire, with Leeds and Kirkstall Abbey both an easy train or drive away. We only list seven hotels here, so options are limited rather than exhaustive. Stay near the town centre, close to the railway station, so you can walk to the bars and restaurants and still get out easily to Leeds or the surrounding hills.
