Hotels in Ipoteşti

Ipoteşti is a commune on the southwestern edge of Suceava, a mix of village houses, new suburban builds and roadside businesses along the main road into the city. Don't confuse it with the Ipoteşti in Botoşani county, where the poet Mihai Eminescu grew up. That village and its memorial house are a separate trip east. This Ipoteşti has no real sights of its own, and its appeal is practical. It offers easy access to Suceava, with its medieval Princely Citadel of Stephen the Great, and serves as a jumping-off point for the painted monasteries of Bucovina, such as Voroneţ, Humor and Moldoviţa, which you'll need a car or tour to reach.

Be honest: this is a functional base, not somewhere to linger, and evenings here are quiet. Prices and parking tend to be easier than in central Suceava, and with a dozen hotels in our catalog there's decent choice. Suceava Ştefan cel Mare International Airport lies on the opposite side of the city. Stay close to the main road toward Suceava for the quickest drives into town and out to the monasteries.
