Mörfelden-Walldorf is a twin-town of around 32,750 people best known for one thing: sitting right next to Frankfurt Main Airport, a few minutes off the runways by car or shuttle. Nobody visits for the town itself, which is unremarkable suburban Hesse — a mix of light industry, forest (the Mönchbruch nature reserve is a genuine plus if you need a walk), and residential streets with little historic centre to speak of.

Be honest: this is a layover and business-stopover base, not a destination, and evenings here are quiet to the point of dull, with few restaurants or bars beyond hotel dining.
