Hotels in Port d'Alcudia

Port d'Alcúdia sits on Mallorca's north-east coast, and it's the island's package-holiday engine room: a long sandy bay backed by a near-continuous wall of family hotels, all-inclusive resorts and British-and-German-run bars. The beach itself is genuinely excellent — kilometres of fine sand shelving gently into calm water, good for kids — and the old fishing harbour still has a working marina alongside the tourist boats.

Be honest: the town centre has little historic character left, having been built almost entirely for tourism since the 1960s, and in July and August it gets crowded and can feel more Blackpool-on-the-Med than authentic Mallorca. The nearby S'Albufera wetlands and the walled old town of Alcúdia proper, a couple of kilometres inland, offer a quieter, more Spanish alternative if the resort strip wears thin. Stay right on the beachfront promenade if you want sea views and easy sunbed access; pick something closer to the harbour end for slightly more peace away from the busiest stretch of bars.
