Hotels in Soufrière

Soufriere sits beneath the Pitons, the twin volcanic spires of Gros Piton and Petit Piton that form a UNESCO World Heritage Site rising straight out of the sea. A few minutes inland, Sulphur Springs bills itself as the Caribbean's only drive-in volcano, with bubbling geothermal pools and mineral mud baths inside an active crater.

Diamond Falls, a mineral-streaked waterfall and botanical garden once built up by French colonial troops for its supposed healing baths, adds a quieter stop nearby. The town itself is small and unhurried, with narrow winding roads and far less nightlife than the island's northern resorts around Rodney Bay. Stay in or near Soufriere for the shortest hikes up Gros Piton and the closest access to the Pitons themselves.
