Hotels in Viladecáns

Viladecans is a working commuter town in Barcelona's Baix Llobregat belt rather than a destination in its own right, a place most visitors choose because it sits just southwest of Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport and costs less than staying in the city. The town has its own long, low-key beach on the Llobregat delta, backed by pine woods and lagoons that are good for birdwatching, and the Garraf hills rise just beyond.

Be honest: the centre is mostly residential blocks and shopping streets with little to sightsee, and the beach area is separated from town by roads and farmland, so a car or taxi helps. Rodalies trains run into Barcelona Sants in well under half an hour, putting Palau Güell and the Fundació Joan Miró within easy reach for a day trip, and Barcelona Nord bus station is convenient for onward coaches. Stay near the airport side or the beach hotels if you have an early flight, or close to the station if you plan daily trips into Barcelona.
