Hotels in West Yellowstone

West Yellowstone exists almost entirely because of what sits next door: the park's west entrance is right at the edge of town, and this is the busiest of Yellowstone's gateways for exactly that reason. Summer brings heavy crowds and traffic through the entrance gate, while winter turns the town into a snowmobile and snowcoach base, since the roads inside the park close to regular cars.

There's little reason to stay longer than necessary, and dining and nightlife options are thin and geared to tourists. Book close to the park entrance itself so you can get an early start before the gate traffic builds up.
