Hotels near Teide

The most practical base for most visitors is La Orotava, only about 15 km away with a straightforward drive up the TF-21 road directly to the cable car base—useful if you want an early start before crowds and cloud cover build up. Options here range from the historic Parador de Las Cañadas del Teide, which sits closest to the action, to town-based choices like Hotel Rural Victoria, Hotel Rural Orotava, and Casa Milagros by TOR.

Puerto de la Cruz, about 20 km out, works well if you'd rather stay somewhere with a proper resort feel and more amenities, then drive or bus in via the TF-21. It suits travellers combining Teide with beach time or spa days, with hotels like Hotel Botanico y Oriental Spa Garden, Hotel Puerto Palace, Hotel AF Valle Orotava, and Parque Vacacional Eden.

Vilaflor, at roughly 12 km, is the closest gateway and the pick for hikers—it's a known trailhead for walking up into the park, reached via a mountain road. Stay at Hotel Spa Villalba, Hotel El Tejar & Spa, or Hotel Rural Vilaflor.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, about 45 km away via the TF-24/TF-21, is best if you're prioritizing city hotels and nightlife over proximity, with a longer drive to the park each day. Choices include the Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey, AC Hotel by Marriott Tenerife, Mediterranean Palace, and Hotel Las Águilas Tenerife.
