Hotels in Coconut Grove, Miami

Coconut Grove is Miami's oldest neighbourhood — a bayside village of banyan trees, sailing marinas, the bohemian Peacock Park and a relaxed pace that exists in deliberate contrast to the city's neon image. The Barnacle Historic State Park on the water is free; the CocoWalk centre is the high-street anchor. For families or travellers who want Miami without the nightlife decibels — the bay, the boats, the park — the Grove delivers an entirely different version of the city. Dinner along Main Highway is unhurried and very good. Brickell and downtown are a short Metrorail ride north; South Beach is 30 minutes by car.
