Hotels near Narita International Airport (NRT)

Narita is Tokyo's long-haul gateway, but it sits well outside the city itself, so anyone with an early morning departure or a red-eye arrival needs to think carefully about logistics rather than assume they'll base themselves centrally and commute in. The genuine walk-to-terminal options — Narita Airport Rest House and 9h nine hours Narita Airport — are the closest thing to a zero-transfer stay, useful if you land late, have a dawn check-in, or simply want to remove all uncertainty from a connection.

Basing yourself in Narita town itself is worth considering too, especially if your schedule gives you an evening or morning free — it has its own low-key charm around the old temple approach and is far less frantic than central Tokyo, with the airport transfer still short and reliable rather than a full-blown commute.
