Halloween weekend brings a slightly different crowd to the terraces, with some fans making a trip of it before trick-or-treating starts back home. Hull City were founded in 1904 and took the Tigers nickname from the black-and-amber stripes they have worn ever since. Hull City's home stands in West Park on the western edge of Hull's centre, a tidy modern bowl shared over the years with rugby league and big outdoor concerts. The parkland setting is a short walk from the city's old town, whose cobbled lanes, museums and the famous Land of Green Ginger reward a wander.

Hull Paragon station is around fifteen minutes on foot, linking across Yorkshire. A room in the centre puts the marina, pubs and transport together, with the ground an easy pre-match stroll away.
