Airshow
Major Airshows
The great airshows draw hundreds of thousands of spectators — and fill the hotels for miles around — so they reward booking early. Britain's free seaside shows pack the resort fronts through late summer: Blackpool, Eastbourne's four-day Airbourne, Clacton, Southport and Scotland's Festival of Flight at Ayr, from August into September 2026. Across the Channel come Europe's great shows — Athens Flying Week, Belgium's Sanicole and the vast NATO Days in Ostrava (September 2026), and the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, the biggest aerospace event on earth (June 2027). And further afield: the Chicago Air & Water Show over the lakefront (August 2026), the Royal International Air Tattoo — the world's largest military airshow — at RAF Fairford (July 2027) and EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in Wisconsin (late July 2027). Pick a show below for hotels near it and book ahead — beds around an airshow go fast. (RIAT 2026 was cancelled owing to a military deployment at Fairford, and Farnborough returns in 2028; we add each new edition as its dates are confirmed.)
