1906 Mission

Not necessarily desirable, but acceptable.

Pros: I liked the common areas. They had some nice interesting books and a tourist pamphlet. Cons: The blankets were stained as was the carpet. It was pretty muggy/dingy inside. No air flow, although there were small fans accessible and the window opened. The shower tile on the ground was cracked but it was a decent shower. Not much water pressure at all though. The bathrooms were Itty bitty, but functional. Check in was confusing. There's an app youre suppose to use that only works for the front door, but is suppose to work for your room too. It doesn't. We could only get ahold of staff t

it worked as a no frills crash pad

Cons: It was very no frills. The building was not clearly marked so I had to search for it with my luggage at 1am. I then had to haul my suitcase up a carpeted, curved staircase to get to my room. The room was stuffy with stains on the carpet and no fan or ventilation. The window opened to an alley and didn't have a screen so it didn't feel safe to leave it open. The bathrooms at the end of the hall were tiny.

More of a hostel than a hotel

Pros: Large shower. Good pillows Cons: Street filled with tweakers, passed out right in front of entrance. No ceiling fan, stuffy and hot.

Poor sleep quality that led to toughness

Pros: Distance from my office Cons: Unsanitary bathroom, poor soundproof building, dirty neighborhood with many drug addicts

Avoid it if you can

Pros: Checking process was smooth Cons: Neighborhood is extremely sketchy with a lot of drug addicts in vicinity. this is literally the worst part of SF. and the whole hotel had terrible smell, it stank terribly and the staff didn't do anything to change that, it was literally unlivable there
