A Georgian charmer!
Pros: A lovely, charming hotel. Yes, I agree with other reviews, it needs a bit of an update in places but the staff are friendly; the bar is convivial and the food is excellent. Would happily stay again. Cons: Continental breakfast option a bit limited. Cleaning needs to include handles and lights witches too.

Pros: Breakfast was good. Well located for access to other places. Cons: Tired and dusty hotel room. We were moved because the tiny tv wasn’t working and couldn’t be positioned properly - not sure if the fixing was broken. The room we were moved to had a much bigger and better tv and seemed to be the overnight room for staff. As we were getting comfortable a member of staff unlocked the door and walked in unaware that we’d been transferred.

Pros: Beautiful building. Friendly staff. Good location (for us). Cons: Breakfast was a little disorganised. It seemed that there was only 1 member of staff working her socks off! Lack of hot water on day two… Overall, with a bit of love, this could easily be a 4 star hotel.
I've stayed here a couple of times now. Its convenient for work purposes. I've not had chance to explore the local area but it looks like there are nice walks near by. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. The food is good. As a female lone traveller I feel safe here.
