APA Hotel Ueno Ekimae

Great location, good value, wonderful experience.

Pros: I loved that the hotel is conveniently located right outside the train station exit for Ueno station, and just a street away from Ameyoko market. There are 2 combinis (7-11 at the next building) and Family Mart across the street for you to grab snacks, drinks, and even those amazing japanese supplements. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They accomodated luggage storage before check in and after check out. Housekeeping happens every 3rd night which wasnt a big issue for us. The cleaning crew is happy to empty our bins as long as we leave them by our door every morning.

Pros: Cleanliness, affordability Cons: Rooms are pretty small, cramped space

Overall a decent hotel to stay

Pros: Hotel is walking distance to Ueno station, clean and staff very friendly. Cons: Room as usual very small. No drawers or area for clothes, might be good enough for one or two nights stay. Can’t get breakfast at site need to reserve ahead of time.
