Peaceful hutong location, short walk to great eateries, experience a slice of local life

The view from the peaceful rooftop terrace over to the dagoba was lovely. The room was a good size and very clean. The two receptionists were lovely and super helpful - we used our phones' translation apps to communicate successfully - they really made my stay a pleasure. The traditional hutong location in Xicheng District was great - off the tourist track, quiet (since very few cars pass through) a short walk to nearby historic Miaoying Dagoba (Temple) and some lovely places to eat, drink and hang out in Gongmenkou east and west alleys. Pros: Das Hotel lag in einem ruhigen typischen chinesischen Hutong. Das macht den Charme eines China Besuchs definitiv aus. Wie kommt man hin,? Am besten mit der Didi (Taxi App) für wenig Geld. Auch das Personal war sehr nett und hilfreich. Mit einer Übersetzungsapp hat dies alles reibungslos geklappt. Das Frühstück war ein kurzer Café mit Croissant. Abendessen konnte man in 5 min Entfernung in einem etwas neuerem hippigen Viertel. Cons: Das Badezimmer in unserem Zimmer war schon etwas stark muffig. Vielleicht lag es nur an dem Zimmer.

Quiet, quaint and friendly!

Pros: A lovely facility with modern comforts and traditional design touches. The staff went out of their way to provide good service despite a language barrier. Breakfast was excellent - great coffee and dumplings, fruit and a rotation of eggs, granola/yoghurt. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean and well stocked. The hutong area was so interesting with many food/drink/shopping options within walking distance and transit/Didi was very accessible. Beautiful outdoor decor of plants/flowers and a lovely rooftop patio. Highly recommended for a quiet stay with character and great service. Cons: L

Pros: Kleine Zimmer, die gemütlich eingerichtet sind. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Cons: Man kann keine Kleider aufhängen, was uns nicht so gestört hat, denn es gab noch ein weiteres Bett. Das Frühstück war im Vergleich was wir in anderen Hotels in China bekommen hatten sehr dürftig.
