Great Location , but disappointed with Room
Pros: Breakfast was a good varied selection, and breakfast staff friendly , Hotel is in a good location with ample parking, room has tea/coffee facilities along with Iron and safe
Cons: Although booked in advance , i was given a room for wheel chair users, so the sink was at knee level ,there was a rusting chair in the shower ,and the handle on the toilet was broken , when asked if any other rooms were available was told no the hotel was fully Booked , i checked myself on their own web site to find rooms still available for the night .
i was only staying 1 night so made do with the roo

An attractive and spacious hotel with some history, in the center of the town.
Pros: Road signage helped me to find the hotel, car park with a "disabled" parking bay, found that this (impressive) entrance was at the BACK (!) of the hotel as the front opens onto a pedestrianised street. Offerred a room on the second floor (no lift) but "Mine Host" was nearby and changed me immediately to a ground floor near the rear entrance (No I had not complained!). Room was a "complimentary upgrade", pity that the excellent illuminating mirror in the bathroom was fitted so high (and I am 5foot7 inches), pity that the table/beaureau was loosing its venear trim; GOOD that the excellent

it should be called just western hotel.....................
Pros: the staff were very good
Cons: our tea making milk was not renewed and cups were not cleaned and replace and breakfast with eggs being left to go hard and bacon also hard and plates very small not good all round

I would not come again
Pros: Not a lot. A wedding going on until 01.40 didn’t help me sleep.
Cons: Very poor food in restaurant. Old and overcooked, probably been lying around for ages. Not acceptable in a hotel of this standing.
