The staff were very good and welcoming, I know it needs a bit of up date, and areas need cleaning, but the stay was great

Perfectly good option for the price, and a good location.
Pros: The room was pleasant and quiet and very clean. The bar was very nice with good service and drinks. Cons: It was a bit disappointing that the room was not made up while I stayed. Extra water and other supplies were available on request. The breakfast was not so good if you didn't want a cooked breakfast.

Surprisingly pleasant stay
The hotel building had lovely architecture, I think it has been converted from what would have been an important civic building at one time. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room was very comfortable and clean. Situated in a quiet location but within walking distance of pubs and restaurants, the cathedral and the Museum of Making. All in all a very pleasant stay.
