My first time to Cascais, made all the better, by staying at Chalet Ficalho.
Pros: Great location, fantastic host and staff, beautiful house with great decor and garden, really comfortable bed. Maria makes a great breakfast and spoils you with home made cakes, every day!!(Lemon cake🖤) Easy access to the shops, train station and good local beaches and restaurants, all within walking distance. Cons: Nothing

Outstanding property and staff. Excellent place to stay after the hectic pace of city sightseeing.
The property was outstanding in every way, it was in a great location near the centre of Cascais but far enough out to be peaceful. The old world style of the property was perfect but combined with spotless cleanliness! Our room was on second floor and simply decorated with a modern bathroom. The small grounds are secluded with a lovely pool. Great breakfast. The fact it has been in the same family since property was built over 100 years ago, showed in the pride in the property. The owner has a lovely calm demeanour, is very helpful and gives good advice about where to eat. Can not fault prope

A lovely friendly place from which to explore Cascais.
Pros: Lovely comfortable room. Fantastic breakfast and home baked cakes freely available throughout the day. Short walk to the town centre restaurants and marina yet very quiet. Maria and Cheeky (the dog) are very friendly hosts. Cons: Unable to get drinks when in chalet (e.g. when at the pool).
