Great location providing that you leave the hotel and make a left. Do not go to the right. That’s not the Pittsburgh you
Pros: Location
Cons: I asked for a vending machine. There are none. The desk attendant said to go to Starbucks in the lobby. Clearly he saw it was closed. Was I supposed to stand there till 6am for a snack? It was 7pm. He advised me to go to CVS. Again closed. I found a 7-11 around the corner and they had just gotten held up at gunpoint. I was not involved but man. That’s a story to tell.

Pros: The staff was excellent, Joshua treated us like he'd known us his whole life. The view was amazing and the location was superb. Everything was within a short stroll from the front door, from restaurants, entertainment, and PNC Park. We will definitely book again when back in Pittsburgh.
Cons: Not one thing to complain about.

Fairmont Failure
We had a deeply disappointing experience at the Fairmont in Pittsburgh. First the room prices are ridiculous. For us, the stay was for a special occassion, and we thought we would have a wonderful experience. However, that did not happen. Instead, we encountered an unwelcoming staff, and our room was not ready at check-in (and wouldn't be for nearly 2 hours). There was no apology or attempt to be hospitable in any way, instead they just asked us to wait in the nearby chairs. It felt more like checking into a dentist appointment than into a luxury hotel.
