Stay away from this hotel
This hotel is horrible and the staff are rude. They overbooked the hotel so when I got there at 8 pm they forced me to move to another hotel for the night. The staff did not even offer me any compensation or anything for my trouble. I would never stay here.
Horrible Experience - Damaged Marriott Brand & Reputation/Trust
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent stay at City Express by Marriott Santa Ana was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've had. My family stayed in two rooms from July 17–21, 2026. As a longtime and loyal Marriott customer, I expected a basic level of hospitality and service. Unfortunately, this property fell far below those expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff was consistently unfriendly, dismissive, and unhelpful. Satisfactory place to stay
Just finished a four night stay at this property and found it to be adequate. Check in was reasonably fast and I was welcomed as a Bonvoy Titanium member. The lobby was clean and I was given a room on the 2nd floor. Room was clean and looked to be recently remodeled. Bathroom was clean and stocked with towels and soaps. Bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillows smelled fresh. I did not try the continental breakfast in the morning but it looked to be average. Only a couple of negatives. Beware undisclosed $20 parking fee for an unguarded/gated surface lot! Asked to verify that I'd pay all incidental, but when asked what those were, was told that clerk "had no idea...I only work here"... no mention of $20 parking fee. Experienced excessive road noise in room. No cup/glass in room...makes it difficult to take meds!
