Cons: I had a confirmed booking through Booking.com and arrived at the hotel on the scheduled check-in date. However, upon arrival, I was informed by the hotel that no rooms were available, despite my reservation being confirmed. What made the situation even more frustrating was that neither the hotel nor Booking.com provided any meaningful assistance in resolving the issue. I was not offered an alternative hotel, nor was any support provided to help me find comparable accommodation. They cancelled my stay and haven't returned my money yet.
Pros: Nothing Cons: The Hotel called me as I landed in San Francisco to let me know they had to cancel my reservation because they were fully booked and the reservation through the 3rd party didn't stick into their system even though I got a confirmation email about my reservation. I've been trying to get my money back from this as I was never provided a service and they were the ones that cancelled but everytime I speak with booking.com they say they need confirmation from Hotel Ikon who hasn't had a manager around that can help with this when called.
