Great hotel with lovely owners in an excellent location.
The hotel is situated in a lovely old building full of character in the University and Museum/Gallery district of Munich, about a 20-25 minute walk from the city centre and very close to the English Garden. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, especially Tanja, allowing me to leave my bags in the hotel on the day I checked out until late in the evening (as I was catching a night train to Brussels). The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was excellent.

Lovely hosts/management, quaint and central setting,
I had to extend my time in Munich for a medical emergency, and I could not have stayed in a better place. Tanja was exceptionally kind to me, rearranged her bookings to accommodate me, made sure I was comfortable, even ran errands and delivered breakfast to my room. I felt very cared for during a painful week when I was far away from home by myself. Tanja and Andreas were the most lovely hosts. On top of that, the hotel itself is quaint and gorgeous, the breakfast was delightful, and the location is central to lots of activity and green areas.

Great place to stay. Would come back
Pros: I was hesitant about the shared toilets and showers but as other guests have remarked they are really clean and I never had to wait to use them. The location was really good for me (work at the university), but also in general - easy walk to the English Garden and the centre of Munich. Breakfast was outstanding: Tanja's homemade jam was excellent. I could not recommend this place more highly.
Cons: Nothing, but guests should know that the hotel is over three floors (3rd-5th) and that although there is a lift, there are steps up to it, so take this into account when you book.
