An affordable and friendly accommodation in Brooklyn.

Pros: The location was easy for me to visit family, close to subway and not far walking, in an interesting neighborhood of brownstone buildings. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed talking with the proprieter. (I even was able to practice my French.) The book collection is impressive. It was clean and attractively decorated. The check-in and systerm of keys was arranged and explained well. I appreciated the prompt and friendly messages online. Cons: My room was very small, but it was clean and fine for my 2-night stay. Being a guest house, the bathroom was down the hall, but I didn't need

New York - like, genuine and habitual lack of comfort. One wants to see, but not to stay.

Pros: Immaculately clean, privet bathroom, quiet, access to a kitchen and drinking water. Non-official atmosphere. Simplicity of interactions. No shoes needed to walk inside the building. Cons: A/C doesn't hold the set temperature. Mattresses are worn to the springs or bad quality. Small room. Steep and small stairsteps. Water pressure and temperature may not be proper from time to time.

The place was in a great location. Some prior guest said bed wasn’t comfortable, that was my experience. I prefer a firm

Last minute stay

Pros: Very easy last minute booking and brilliant communication from the staff! The price is fantastic for the area and the bed was super comfy. There was a balcony patio at my room too which was beautiful in the morning! Cons: No TV in the room, its only in main downstairs foyer but there are a lot of cool books so, it actually became something I did like as it meant I read in a comfy bed.

Quant, cozy and warm.

Pros: Home and comfortable. Including private bathroom and kitchen access. Has AC in room. Cons: Nothing.
