Pros: The service in the attached Asian restaurant was very accommodating. The service from the 2nd day at breakfast was okay. Cons: Minimalistic breakfast, only 1 type of simple rolls, no bread, many wasps in the breakfast room, no room cleaning on the 2nd day, no towels. On the 3rd day, 1 cent was stolen. The socket in the bathroom was loose, pulling the hairdryer plug out of the wall. The shower head was missing the seal, causing more water to come out of the hose than from the front of the shower. We had to pay the total bill immediately upon check-in.

Central hotel in Altenburg with simple clean rooms. Perfect for excursions in the region.

Pros: Very clean small single room with a relatively spacious and very clean bathroom. Easy check-in even after official check-in times thanks to a key box. Responsive staff via the Booking chat. Cons: Unfortunately, there was no coffee machine in my room (as indicated on Booking). I did not complain about this on-site, it would have been clarified for sure. The reception was rarely/scarce during my stay.

It suited us okay and near the church where the wedding was. But steps were a real challenge.

Pros: Breakfast was good. Staff helpful. Cons: 70+ steps to the bedroom and no lift! No drink making facilities in our room.

Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: We were here once 4 years ago. Unfortunately, the quality has significantly deteriorated. In a pre-call inquiry, there was no one from the staff who spoke any German.
