Was I even welcome? Do you call this a guest house?? Very disappointing

Pros: Angela was a great cook. She makes excellent breakfast and coffee. She is very courteous and friendly. Kudos to her! Cons: Check in was hostile and TERRIBLE The front door was locked and no amount of ringing the door bell, text messages, phone calls and emails could elicit even one response from Kathleen. Made me feel most unwelcome. Later I was discovered by chance that there was a note stuck on the front door meant for me. The note contained a secret code that I needed to punch in to get in. Pros: Fabulously beautiful and quiet location. Lovely host, readily available. Amazing breakfast, lovingly prepared and served. Cons: Could not lock door to room. Lock improperly installed. May not be the case for all rooms.

Pros: The house is very nice. But if you just want to stay overnight, the whole thing is too expensive. The rooms under the roof had a very tight bathroom. The hostess is reservedly friendly. She put a lot of effort into preparing breakfast. We appreciate that. Cons: The bathroom. The toilet seat needs to be changed, here the edge is totally yellowed. The room with access to the balcony is very cold, there is a draft through the cracks.

Pros: Das Haus ist sehr schön. Aber wenn man nur übernachten möchte ist das ganze zu teuer. Die Zimmer unterm Dach hatten ein sehr enges Bad. Die Gastgeberin ist zurückhaltend freundlich. Hat sich beim Frühstück herrichten sehr viel Mühe gegeben. Das wissen wir zu schätzen. Cons: Das Bad. Die Klobrille gehört gewechselt hier ist der Rand total vergilbt. Das Zimmer mit Zugang zum Balkon ist sehr kalt es zieht durch die Ritzen.

A charming American home experience.

Pros: A quiet and peaceful environment. Transportation and check-in were comfortable. We felt like we were experiencing American family life. It was a different experience for us. Thank you to Angela and Kathleen for their hospitality! Cons: There wasn't much. Our room was a bit cramped due to being in the attic, but we knew that when we came.
