Good location, comfortable stay

Pros: Location was good, surrounded by good food and massage joints. Also 10-15 mins drive from Mid Valley Southkey, Mt Austin etc. Room is clean and comfortable, toilet had all the neccessary amenities. Hotel staff made effort to decorate on the full length mirror and welcomed us with a slice of cake as it was the mister’s birthday. Cons: Nothing much except that the room i booked had beds that were slightly small for a family of 4 with 2 tween girls. Can consider bigger setups next time if there are.

Pros: Plenty of places to eat and drink walking distance Cons: Reasonably expensive compared to hotels in the City

Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel

Pros: The service, cleanliness and convenience to the main road. It's further out from the JB customs checkpoint but it's nearer to Toppen Shopping Centre and Aeon Tebrau. The Chinese Restaurant's (Wan Li) food was also great. Recommended to order their Codfish with dangui sauce. Dim sum was also good even though it wasn't the dim sum buffet. Cons: Room lights could be slightly brighter at night as the drawing of the curtains reduces the light significantly.
