Pros: The staff were all lovely The food was really good The downstairs areas, bar, breakfast room, dining room, reception area were all lovely Cons: We stayed in room 3 The shower was a fixed overhead and was too low, needs updating to a removable shower head. The shower was in the bath, getting out of the bath, there was nothing to hold onto, felt like an accident waiting to happen. Large lamps unnecessary, took up too much room on bedside table.

The mushrooms tasted pickled, wit

If you have dinner in the restaurant I would thoroughly recommend the Haddock one of the nicest pieces of fish I have ever tasted. Cons: Unfortunately we made the mistake of booking the standard room number 10. It was very small and the double bed almost filled up the room. I hit my leg a couple of times trying to go around it. Room 10 is also very dark with only a small window. There was no chair in the room to sit on so my wife had to sit o

Pros: Reasonable Cons: Cold room with outdated and cold bathroom. Plug-in electric heaters not acceptable. Staff not very helpful. Room not as requested but this was rectified.
