Restful overnight in quiet countryside
Pros: Traditional country pub with gastro touch, real ale and interesting wine list; bedroom specious and comfortable. All staff we talked to very friendly and diligent. Dog friendly. Cons: Would like more storage space in bathroom
Pros: Uns hat eigentlich alles gefallen. The Jolly Sportsman liegt perfekt in einem kleinen Dorf 15 min von Lewes entfernt. Es gibt nur 4 Zimmer, die über eine Außentreppe zu erreichen sind. Alles ist sehr hochwertig und liebevoll ausgestattet und sehr idyllisch gelegen. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in den Southdowns. Es gibt einen wunderschönen Garten, in dem man sich den ganzen Tag aufhalten kann. Das Team ist wunderbar und sehr freundlich und um die Gäste bemüht. Das Restaurant kocht hervorragend, die Weinkarte ist üppig bestückt, so daß wir auch kulinarisch voll auf unsere Kosten

Great place to eat and stay but not when the weather is hot.
Pros: Lovely location and thoughtfully decorated building retaining old features. The menu is interesting and the friendly, knowledgeable staff exceptional. Cons: In hot weather the lack of air conditioning means the rooms are uncomfortably hot. We didn’t sleep well.
