Pros: We particularly liked the central location of this hotel. The room was also very smart and had a lot of character. The staff in both Reception and the breakfast room were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was also excellent with a good selection and fresh eggs cooked to order. Free parking at the rear of the hotel was also an asset. Cons: We thought the bathroom lacked shelving and storage and also didn't really like climbing into the bath, for a shower!
Be warned of a rip off parking ticket scam that the hotel have place
Pros: Our positive experience was wiped out by £100 parking fine which the hotel could’ve prevented had they given information when asked about parking at the property. Cons: Being stung for £100 parking fine for parking in the free car park. I’ve stayed at the hotel a number of times in the past and have parked in the car park. They now have sold or rented parking spaces to an EV parking firm. Charge £100 if you park in the space. When I arrived at the property, I asked the receptionist whether it was okay to park in the car park and if they needed my registration number. I was told it was fr
