The River House

Excellent Location, but house could do with some TLC in areas.

Pros: The property was in a great location, right next to the river for keen walkers & kayakers etc & Slane town was just up the road (approx 10min walk), so amenities were available if needed & Slane castle was about 5 minutes in a car or 20minutes walk. Cons: The road to the house, lead to the farm & there were a lot of vehicles passing regularly & some at a speed, as its a one vehicle track. The house, although an ideal size for what we needed, it was tired. There was a burnt plug socket in the snug/dining room, there was or had been a leak under the kitchen sink, so a strong damp smell. Pros: Beds are comfy and showers are hot and powerful Cons: Needs a little TLC paint freshen up, garden cleaning and could also do with a new kitchen table its very sticky and more comfortable seating.
