Perfect weekend away
Pros: Great location and peaceful Cons: A bit dear
Bite to eat
Pros: Close to local race course and main routes to other attractions Cons: No food availability upon arriving at 3 pm should have bar snacks ie rolls or sandwiches and light food then wouldn't have gone to the next venue to eat out .hence the Rose & Crown lost a possibility of more income.
Very enjoyable stay at the Rose & Crown
Pros: The room was spacious with plenty of shelf space. The bed was really comfortable with a beautiful view. The bathroom was large with a good shower and we really liked the soft light that came on automatically when we used the toilet in the night. The breakfast was good too. Cons: I am not sure what could have been improved upon really, everything was good. The only thing was the black pudding was missing at breakfast!
Handy location for Salisbury, scenic views.
Pros: Lovely scenic location, lovely view from room (that we had) to river. Good room size (superior). Easy and scenic route to walk (10 mins) to Salisbury cathedral. Cons: We paid for breakfast (15 quid each) which was the worst breakfast of our holiday for us (we don't do English cooked breakfast, just "continental") as there was not even any decent (non-toast) bread, nor cheese or ham :-( Poor choice of cereals also. we actually asked for a partial refund but were turned down flat.
Cons: There were two twin beds put together- very lumpy
